The leader of the State of Law coalition and the representative of the Turkmen component, Jassim Muhammad Jaafar, confirmed on Thursday that the Kirkuk governorate weighs the balance of equations in support of the next prime minister.
Jaafar said in a statement to the "Information" agency, that "the Kirkuk governorate paper entered the political calculations of the current Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, in order to obtain support from some Kurdish parties to renew his presidency for a second term."
He added, "The situation of Kirkuk Governorate is very critical and it is within the strongly proposed political treatment," noting that "whoever gives up on it will receive the support of the Kurdistan Democratic Party."
Jaafar pointed out that "the current Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, worked to make many concessions to some Kurdish parties in order to obtain their support for the second term."
The leader of the State of Law coalition pointed out that "Kirkuk governorate takes a large area of the Kurdistan Democratic Party's discussion in forming the next government."
The Kurdish parties demanded earlier the restoration of the governor's position after winning most of the province's seats in the recent elections. finished / 25 BC
