    [size=45]The local government, security leaders and judicial authorities in Dhi Qar expressed their concern about the high crime rates in the province by 17 percent, and called for the adoption of economic and technical solutions to address the growing rates of poverty and unemployment among the youth segment and raise community awareness.[/size]
    [size=45]The data of the ninth security conference of the Dhi Qar Police Command, which was held recently in the hall of the Police Training Center and was attended by a number of government officials, security leaders and representatives of the Dhi Qar Court of Appeal, revealed an increase in crime rates by 17 percent during 2021, while indicating an increase in suicide and drug crimes.     [size=45]In turn, the commander of Sumer operations, Major General Saad Al-Harbiyeh, told Al-Mada that "most of the crimes marked as high crimes, unfortunately, are related to the family and social behavior, such as suicide, drug use, theft and sodomy, and these require comprehensive societal treatments and are not limited to the role of the security forces," stressing the importance of the participation of academic and governmental institutions.
