Earth News/ The State of Law coalition, headed by Nuri al-Maliki, commented today, Thursday, on the race of some blocs and deputies to acquire the Parliamentary Integrity Committee.
The representative of the coalition, Aref Al-Hamami, told "Earth News", "The representative in the House of Representatives has a wide area of work, and if his sincere intention is to practice oversight work, he can do so in any committee, not on the condition that he is in the Integrity Committee, and perhaps There are some deputies who believe that this committee will give them more space in the oversight work.”
Al-Hamami added, "There may be other goals, by some blocs and some deputies, to reach the Integrity Committee with the aim of covering up some files or even extorting some officials, this matter is very likely, and is not excluded, frankly."
