Oil futures rose more than 5%, and stocks in the Asia-Pacific region were mixed on Monday.
And US West Texas Intermediate crude futures recorded gains of more than 5% to reach $ 99.10 a barrel in Asian trading, retreating slightly after rising 6% earlier.
Brent crude rose more than 7 dollars to reach 105.07 dollars a barrel.
Brent crude crossed the $100 level last week, even touching $105, before paring gains. Both oil contracts settled down more than 1% on Friday. Ended 29/N33
