Baghdad - Mawazine News
The Secretary of Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq movement, Qais al-Khazali, confirmed, on Tuesday, that they have enough representatives to form the largest bloc, indicating that they will not risk the "Shiite entitlement", and that the Sadrist bloc, if it is able to form the largest bloc, will be recognized by them.
Khazali stated, "The consensus required for the session to choose the president of the republic was not obtained, because the path is going to break the wills," explaining that "the selection of the Speaker of the House of Representatives was by consensus of the Sunni component."
He added that "if the Sadrist bloc is able to form the largest bloc, we will admit it," noting that "the number of deputies in the framework is 83 deputies, and we will not propose proceeding with the formation of the government on our own."
Khazali stressed by saying, "We insist on forming the largest bloc with the participation of everyone and preference for the Sadrist bloc," explaining that "in this electoral cycle, there were changes and meetings outside Iraq in Turkey and the UAE."
He pointed out that "the head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Massoud Barzani, did not reject the Patriotic Union, but rather wanted the presidency in exchange for other positions," noting that "the guarantor third in parliament guarantees Shiite rights through the largest bloc."
He continued, "The Sadrist bloc in the tripartite alliance is a minority compared to the Sunnis and the Kurds," adding that "the Shiite framework is allied with other figures and forces under the title of national stability and possesses the largest bloc in number."
The Secretary-General of Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq affirmed that "we have enough to be the largest bloc, but we will not risk the Shiite entitlement, because this leads to its final loss," noting that "whoever has nothing to do with the blood of Iraqis and wants to start a new page, welcome."
He added that "the independent representatives are aware of the commitment of the Shiite framework for an independent nomination to head the government," stressing that "the most important thing is to agree on the largest Shiite bloc, and the framework is open to any candidate for prime minister."
And he indicated that "Jaafar al-Sadr is an acceptable person, but what is his government program and commitments with the Shiite framework?", explaining that "
Khazali believed that "the correct solution in Iraq is to change the system from a parliamentary to a presidential," pointing out that "consensuality means the distribution of ministries among the political components."
He said that "the whole story is the issue of political competition and the current wants to acquire the Shiite share in the ministries," stressing that "the basis of the framework's work is to obtain a strong government and a prime minister capable of managing the state."
Khazali stated that "we have no problem with presenting Mr. Muqtada al-Sadr as a candidate for prime minister," noting that "we were not asked in the Shiite framework to present a candidate for prime minister."
He stressed that "the handing over of their weapons to the resistance factions will not take place until after the occupation is removed," while the "bombing of diplomatic missions is unacceptable to the resistance."
He pointed out that "in the event of the actual exit of the occupation forces, the resistance will lay down its arms and hand it over to the popular crowd," stressing that "we hope that a Kurdish-Kurdish agreement will be reached on the nomination of a candidate for the presidency."
Khazali added, "We will not accept the bombing of any Iraqi city, but we accept the bombing of Israeli headquarters, and we have information about the Israeli presence and that what was bombed in Erbil is the headquarters of the Israeli Mossad," noting that "if Mohammed bin Salman bombed an Israeli headquarters in Iraq, we will not condemn that." Ended 29 / p. 87
