Al-Amiri: The failure to resolve the position of the President of the Republic is a major reason for the continuation of the political blockage
Shafaq News/ The leader of the "Al-Fateh" coalition, the Secretary-General of "Badr" Organization Hadi Al-Amiri attributed, on Saturday, the continuation of the political impasse in the country to the failure to resolve the nomination of a new president for Iraq.
Al-Amiri said in a speech today during a tribal gathering in Baghdad, "We are able to overcome the political blockage, and we have great hope for all political forces," adding that overcoming this blockage "starts with addressing the situation inside the Shiite house."
"We are working to get out of this political blockage, and the largest component is concerned with that," he added, referring to the Shiites.
Al-Amiri also indicated that "resolving the position of the President of the Republic will lead to overcoming the blockage," noting that the failure to resolve this position "is a major reason for the continuation of the political blockage."
The leader of the "Al-Fateh" coalition, which is part of the coordination framework, stressed that "it will not be allowed to go back or to cause any Shiite-Shiite fighting."
