    The head of the Military Industrialization Authority, Muhammad Sahib Al-Daraji, said that the authority intends to produce a heavy-duty cannon and to assemble the Smists during the next stage.
    Al-Darraji explained, "The authority's laboratories and staff are preparing to manufacture a heavy cannon of the 30D type, which is one of the best field artillery weapons in the world, after rehabilitating the old laboratories that existed before 2003, in addition to assembling helicopters."
    He added that "the commission's laboratories recently produced mortar bombs with Iraqi hands and capabilities by the methods of hot roads and plumbing, at an estimated cost of 65 dollars, while the price in import deals to Iraq reaches 250 dollars."
    Regarding the production of the Babel pistol, Al-Darraji said that “the production lines did not cost the state budget after purchasing the concession of the “Norinco” company by one of the companies, in order to manufacture 70% of the parts of the pistol, with the preparation of the land, buildings, labor and the installation of its molds completely inside Iraq.
    And he indicated that "few companies in the world give the franchise to manufacture pistols, including the "Berta" company, which was granted the privilege to manufacture the "Babel" pistol, noting that the authority is in the process of manufacturing a "Brno" pistol that works with two types of releases.
    He added, "The commission bought 3 production lines for making pistol bullets and the al-Rafidain rifle, which the commission saw as a local industry as it falls within the country's national security." However, he stressed that the security ministries are still reluctant to buy the commission's products to this day.
    Regarding the authority’s plan for the next stage, Al-Daraji said: “The authority is working to manufacture combat drones, anti-armor and drones,” expressing his hope that officials and the media will protect the local product, especially the military, from it, and expose all attempts to slander and accusations.
