Describing the allocations as "huge" .. Al-Shaalan reveals the Diwaniyah share of the "emergency support" law
Shafaq News/ Diwaniyah Governor Zuhair Al-Shaalan described today, Wednesday, the budget allocated by the emergency support law to the governorate as "huge", while indicating that the agricultural plan for this year did not do justice to the governorate.
Al-Shaalan told Shafak News Agency; "The law allocated a huge budget amounting to 450 billion Iraqi dinars to sustain life in Diwaniyah, but the reality proves that the province needs five times more than this amount."
And about the agricultural plan between Al-Shaalan; That "the agricultural plan did not include the province this year with only 3,500 dunams, especially to preserve the variety of seeds, and it will be planted on one side to conserve water, while the governorate owns nearly one million dunams suitable for cultivation."
With regard to the 1,000 schools project, according to the Chinese loan, he indicated that "there are 61 schools under construction out of 183 schools designated for the governorate according to the agreement, while Diwaniyah actually needs more than 400 schools distributed over the governorate's regions."
The House of Representatives voted in its session, which was held on the evening of June 8, in the presence of 273 deputies, headed by Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi, on the law on emergency support for food security as a whole.
And the Media Department of the House of Representatives says, in a statement issued after the vote, received by Shafak News Agency, that the law aims to achieve food security, reduce poverty, achieve financial stability in light of urgent global developments, continue to provide services to citizens and raise the standard of living for them after the budget law expires. Job opportunities, maximizing Iraqis' benefit from state resources, advancing development, and resuming work on stalled and lagging projects due to lack of funding and new projects of importance.
