The Iraqi Ministry of Defense revealed that it had achieved a qualitative leap in the manufacture of Iraqi guns after 2003, announcing the manufacture of 20 guns with national hands.

The General Director of the General Company for Copper and Mechanical Industries, Akram Shaker Abdel-Fattah, said that "20 cannons were manufactured ready for marketing to serve the Ministry of Defense, and every part of those cannons was manufactured inside the company."

Abdel-Fattah added, "Our cannons are of the best quality in the world, and the majority of the Iraqi army's armament are D30 cannons, in addition to our possession of 130 and 155 guns, and 9 cannons are currently equipped."

In turn, the Director of the Artillery Class Directorate, one of the formations of the Ministry of Defense, Major General Abdul Jabr Mazloum Al-Ardawi, said that "the initial examination of the manufactured Iraqi guns was good after conducting tests on it by 4 committees responsible for receiving them, and we achieved a qualitative leap in their manufacture, which is the highest since 2003." .

Mazloum added, "The current situation in the country necessitates the need to rely on the national industry, especially since the foreign industry has a high cost."
