The Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee revealed, on Tuesday, the most prominent laws that were discussed with Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani.
Committee member Hussein Hashem al-Amiri said, "Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani discussed with the Security and Defense Committee a number of important files, including the laws on compulsory conscription and the service of the Internal Security Forces."
He pointed out that "it was agreed to return some important laws to the Council of Ministers, including the Compulsory Service Law, and discuss it from a technical and administrative point of view, in addition to arranging and re-lawing the rest of the security services, including the National Security and Intelligence Service."
Al-Amiri said in an interview with the official news agency, Mawazine News, that "the meeting included discussing the passage of the law to amend the retirement service and the service of the Internal Security Forces." Ended 29/N33
