    / .. He Iraqi National Security Advisor Faleh al-Fayad said Iraq will give
    preference to the American private sector.


    A statement
    issued by the American Business Council in Iraq received / JD / copy of it:
    holding American Business Council in Iraq working lunch with a delegation
    visiting the United States of America, including Iraqi national security
    adviser Faleh al-Fayad and Sami al-Askari, Yassin Majeed Organic House Organic
    Foreign Relations Committee


    Attended the
    meeting, which was sponsored by General Electric Company and Garda World, Nofal
    Hassan Iraqi commercial attache Brigadier Ali al-Araji, the Iraqi military
    attache in Washington, DC, in addition to senior adviser in the U.S. State
    Department Bert Mkjrk.


    The meeting
    was opened by Hussein Alqragolj President of the Council welcome the honorable
    members of the delegation, attendance and stressed that the visit comes in the
    very important stage witnessed the relations between Iraq and the United
    States, and explained that the efforts the American Business Council in Iraq
    are in the same direction as the efforts of the Government of Iraq seeking to
    encourage investment and stimulate the economy and create a more attractive
    investment environment, as expressed Hussein Alqragolj welcomed the announcement,
    National Security Advisor of the year 2013 is the year of activating the
    strategic framework agreement
    between Iraq and the United States, which
    include items many economic and commercial.



    Then face
    Faleh al-Fayad, thanks to the American Business Council in Iraq for the
    opportunity to meet with representatives of the U.S. private sector members of
    the Council.


    And char-Fayad said the
    government believes that the investment will help to establish security and
    stability and that the delegation came carries several messages most
    important activating the strategic framework agreement
    , which can not be implemented
    through entanglement and complementarity of interests between Iraq and the
    United States and in various areas of cooperation and friendship between
    peoples and not just the areas of security and defense .


    Faleh
    al-Fayad confirmed that Iraq will give preference to the American private
    sector what is owned by the efficiency and technical progress of the work in
    Iraq.


    He explained
    that the delegation requested from various government agencies American support
    of Iraq through the promotion of investment in it and encourage the American
    private sector to engage him where they will find the Government of Iraq, led
    by Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki is committed to examine the complaints and
    obstacles that prevent investors and hinder the movement of business and
    addressed and that the Prime Minister has categorically directed to the
    strengthening of relations with the United States, particularly the trade
    relations.


    He also
    added Yasin Majid, a member of the Iraqi Council of Representatives Speaking to
    attend that Iraq is seeking to take advantage of the superiority of the United
    States in various areas of industrial, commercial and technological development

    char-Fayad Government believes that the investment will help establish
    security and stability and that the delegation was carrying numerous
    letters which activate the strategic framework agreement and which could
    be implemented only through the complexity and integration of interests
    between Iraq and the United States in various areas of cooperation and
    friendship between the peoples and not just the areas of security and
    defence.

    Faleh said that Iraq would give priority to the private sector for its efficiency and technical progress in Iraq.

    The
    delegation asked the various u.s. Government support of Iraq by
    promoting investment and encouraging the private sector to access
    because the Government of Iraq will, led by Prime Minister Nouri
    al-Maliki is committed to consider complaints and obstacles impeding the
    movement of investors and business and that the Prime Minister has
    directed driven in strengthening relations with the United States,
    notably trade relations.

    He
    said Yassin Majeed, a member of the Iraqi Council of representatives,
    speaking to the audience that Iraq seeks to take advantage of the
    superiority of the United States in various fields of industrial,
    commercial and technological development potential and capacity

    Removing Chapter 7 and activating the Strategic Agreement would certainly assist these issues:

    "the Government of Iraq seeking to encourage investment and stimulate the
    economy and create a more attractive investment environment"

    The last I read, it was under review by the IMF. Iraq is going to become a donar nation with surplus revenues. There is no need that I can see for the SBA.

    Some of the objectives of the Strategic Plan is fully developing their ability to pump oil, getting Iraq out from under Chapter 7!
