called on the Kurdish parliamentary blocs, the Presidency of Parliament, to host the executive authority in tomorrow's session to discuss the attacks on Iraqi lands.
And the blocs stated in a statement read by today’s session, followed by Mawazine News: “We all know what the Kurdistan region has been subjected to in the past days until dawn today, in terms of bombing with passing missiles and drone warplanes, and this, as you know, is not the first time, which is considered a repeated and flagrant violation of the sovereignty of Iraq and the Kurdistan region.” By neighboring countries, it is clear that condemnation and the formation of investigative committees are no longer sufficient and do not deter the recurrence of these violations. We call on you, as an Iraqi parliament, to take an appropriate legislative position that prevents and condemns these violations, and we call on the Islamic Republic of Iran and the State of Turkey to stop their violation of international norms and good neighborly relations, support stability in the region and strengthen secure it."
She added: "We also demand that the executive authority be hosted and present in tomorrow's session, Tuesday, and to take a serious and practical stance that preserves the country's sovereignty by taking what it deems appropriate to stop these attacks, whoever it is and from any country that violates Iraqi sovereignty, and to demand the international community to provide Iraq with air defense systems to deter these attacks."
And it called on the United Nations, to "take a clear and frank stance towards these repeated Iranian and Turkish attacks in order to preserve the sovereignty of our country and to preserve the lives of our citizens, and for the Iraqi government to assume its full constitutional responsibility."
