Shafaq News agency reporter stated, “The Central Bank sold today, during its auction for buying and selling the US dollar, 122 million 403 thousand and 967 dollars, which the bank covered at a basic exchange rate of 1460 dinars per dollar.
Our correspondent added that most of the sales went to consolidate the balances abroad in the form of transfers and credits, amounting to 101 million 453 thousand 967 dollars, while the rest went in the form of cash sales, amounting to 20 million 950 dollars.
Our correspondent indicated that 20 banks have met requests for strengthening balances abroad, and 12 banks have met cash requests, in addition to 113 financial intermediation companies.
