The Federal Supreme Court set, today, Tuesday, the date for the consideration of the appeal against the constitutionality of the continuation of the fifth session of the Parliament of the Kurdistan Region.
The court said in a statement, a copy of which Mawazine News received, that it "decided to postpone the date of the pleading of the constitutional case in the number (233 - Federal - 2022) and its units, filed by the plaintiff Sarwa Abdul Wahid Qadir and her group against the defendants, both the Speaker of the Kurdistan Region Parliament and the President of the Kurdistan Region." Kurdistan region, in addition to their two jobs, to contest the unconstitutionality of Law No. (12) of 2022 (the law for the continuation of the fifth session of the Kurdistan Parliament).
And she added, "The postponement of the date of the pleading came because the defendant's attorneys, the Speaker of the Parliament of the Kurdistan region, did not attend, in addition to his job due to bad weather, and for the purpose of completing the court's audits of it. The date of the pleading was set on 2/7/2023." Ended 29/M99
