    Earth News / The Federal Integrity Commission announced today, Wednesday, the issuance of an arrest warrant and investigation against the former Minister of Transport. As a result of intentionally committing a breach of his job duties.
    And the Investigation Department, speaking about the details of the case, which the Baghdad Investigation Directorate investigated in the commission and referred it to the judiciary, stated in a statement received by Earth News that “the investigating judge of the Central Anti-Corruption Criminal Court issued an arrest and investigation order against the former Minister of Transport; Against the backdrop of handing over the building of the new Iraqi Ports Company to the Basra Governorate, pointing out that the governorate occupied the building without a contract.
    And she added, “The arrest and investigation order issued; Based on the provisions of Article (331) of the Penal Code, it also included approaching the competent authorities to prevent the travel of the accused.
    It is noteworthy that the Integrity Commission had previously announced that the same court had issued an arrest and investigation order against the former Minister of Transport. In light of the violations that occurred in the contract concluded between the General Company for Iraqi Ports and one of the companies renting a piece of land in the port of Al-Maqal, in addition to other violations.
    Article (331) of the Penal Code stipulates that a penalty of imprisonment and a fine, or one of these two penalties, shall be imposed on: “Any public official or agent assigned to a public service who willfully commits a violation of the duties of his position or refrains from performing one of its duties with the intention of harming the interest of one of the individuals or with the intention of benefiting a person at the expense of another.” or at the expense of the state.
