    Baghdad today _ Nineveh
The Yazidi politician, Fahd Hamid, expressed, on Wednesday, his "total" rejection of the issue of implementing the Sinjar district agreement between the federal government in Baghdad and the Kurdistan Regional Government in Erbil concluded between them in 2020.
Hamid said in an interview with (Baghdad Today) that: "This agreement is rejected from the ground up because it violates the constitution and the law," as he said.
He added, "Sinjar is a city belonging to the federal government, and the Peshmerga forces are guarding the region's borders only."
Hamid stressed "the rejection of any return of the Peshmerga and Asayish forces to the Sinjar district," stressing that "any attempt under this regard is for the purpose of satisfying the Kurdish parties, and we will reject it categorically," he said.
It is noteworthy that the former federal government headed by Mustafa Al-Kadhimi signed, on October 9, 2020, an agreement with the Kurdistan Regional Government, providing for the maintenance of security in Sinjar district by the federal security forces, in coordination with the Kurdistan Regional Forces, and the expulsion of all "illegal" armed groups. to outside the judiciary.
The agreement also provides for the termination of the presence of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in Sinjar, and the abolition of any role for the entities associated with it in the region. However, this agreement remained faltering and was not fully implemented, according to the regional government, which has long called for its implementation on the ground.
