    Reuters reported today, Thursday, quoting an official and two Kurdish deputies in the federal parliament, that the Kurdistan Democratic Party "will prevent the passage of any laws or reforms" proposed by the government headed by Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani in the event that the outstanding differences between Baghdad and Erbil are not resolved.
    Reuters said in a report translated by (Baghdad Today), that Al-Sudani, upon assuming power, made promises to "reform the economy, combat corruption, improve public and service conditions, combat poverty and unemployment," pointing out that "the implementation of those promises is under the threat of the Kurdistan Democratic Party." ". 
    And the agency stated, "Al-Sudani, through the process of political consensus, obtained the position of prime minister after direct support from the Kurdistan Democratic Party, which has 31 parliamentary seats, and that the continuation of the differences between Baghdad and Erbil to the current degree without future solutions or initiatives, will lead as a result to withdrawing The Kurdistan Democratic Party supports the Sudanese government, which will impede the passage of its reforms and decisions through the Iraqi parliament. 
    Reuters quoted a Kurdish official and two deputies in the Iraqi parliament as confirming that "the Kurdistan Democratic Party will move towards preventing the passage of any laws or reforms presented by the Sudanese government in the event that the outstanding political problems between Baghdad and Erbil, which include differences over the region's share of the country's general budget, are not resolved." And the sharing of resources between the region and the center in addition to the oil and gas law.
    It also quoted an advisor to Al-Sudani, who refused to reveal his identity, that “a delegation from Kurdistan visited Baghdad last Monday, and discussed a set of laws,” noting that “after the meeting, Al-Sudani issued instructions to his legal team to search for a way to send salary funds to the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq without violating Orders of the Federal Supreme Court, which announced earlier, that sending money from Baghdad to Erbil is illegal and violates the general budget law,” according to the agency.
