The German statistic company, which specializes in market and consumer data, expected that the annual inflation rate in Iraq during 2028 would average 2%.
And the company stated in a table that was seen by "Al-Iqtisad News", that "it is expected that the average inflation rate in Iraq will reach about 2% in 2028, down from 6.63% in 2023."
And she added, "The average inflation rate in Iraq will decrease between 2023 and 2028 by a total of 4.6 percentage points," indicating that "the overall decline does not occur continuously, especially in the years 2025 and 2026, as it will reach during these two years to 2.22% and 2.3%." respectively".
And she indicated that "the annual inflation in Iraq is expected to rise in 2023 to its highest level, reaching 6.63%, compared to the past 15 years," indicating that "the average annual inflation for the year 2024 is expected to reach 1.62%."
Inflation is the continuous rise in the general level of prices in a country's economy over time.
