The Parliamentary Integrity Committee announced, on Sunday, the intention to grant broad powers to the Integrity Commission after amending its law.
Member of the committee, Representative Sarwa Abdel Wahed, said, "An amendment to the Integrity Commission Law will grant some amendments that serve to expand the commission's powers," noting that "activating the "Where did you get this from?" Law will also contribute to reducing corruption."
Abdel Wahed added, "When the powers are expanded to the Integrity Commission, they will face greater responsibilities."
And the Parliamentary Integrity Committee confirmed, earlier, that the government directed to implement actual measures in the coming days to recover the looted funds from Iraq, while noting that activating the law “Where did you get this from?” Who is awaiting legislation that will support the procedures for prosecuting the corrupt.
