    Baghdad today - Baghdad
Legal expert Salem Hawas confirmed today, Wednesday, that the cabinet change is within the powers of Prime Minister Mohamed Shia Al-Sudani, but it is subject to the approval of the House of Representatives.
Hawass told (Baghdad Today) that "the ministerial change is one of the powers of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a al-Sudani, and this is stipulated in Article 78 of the Iraqi constitution, but achieving this matter requires the approval of the House of Representatives."
And he stated, "The House of Representatives has the right to reject a request to exempt any minister, but Parliament's refusal to exempt any negligent minister will make him confront the Iraqi people, and for this Parliament will be forced to implement what the Sudanese wants from a cabinet change."
Earlier, the leader in the coordination framework, Turki Al-Atbi, told (Baghdad Today) that "the Prime Minister has developed a comprehensive vision for the file of change, whether for some ministerial portfolios, governors, or directors of some government institutions, and it relies on the principle of a fair technical evaluation of performance."
Al-Atbi added, "An important meeting of the coordination framework, in the presence of Al-Sudani, will be held next week in Baghdad," expecting "the prime minister to present his vision of changes."
He pointed out that "we did not know until now what names would be in the circle of change, whether from ministerial portfolios or governors."
The leader in the coordination framework indicated that "any change that the Sudanese makes will be among the positive reasons," noting that "the change may take weeks, but the decision is in the hands of the prime minister in the end."
According to the curriculum that Al-Sudani set for his government, he made a point stating that he would approve the evaluation of the work of the ministers within six months of his assumption of the presidency of the Iraqi government, and at that time he would decide to keep the ministers or change them according to the evaluation.
