    Information / special.
Today, Tuesday, a member of the House of Representatives, Bassem Khashan, criticized the 2023 budget projects that the government is trying to accomplish, while he described its goal as “media revenue,” stressing that the budget did not address an “important” point.
Khashan said in an interview with the information agency, that "the 2023 budget draft law must be balanced and projects are planned according to the rules," pointing out that "these rules are of no quality and are not considered."
He added, "The government is trying to complete projects that achieve more media revenue than achieve an important result for the Iraqi people," noting that "the budget did not address an important point, which is creating a new job opportunity."
A member of the House of Representatives explained: "In all government budgets and projects in various countries of the world, they aim to provide services and create new job opportunities, but the last matter is not present in the government's draft."
Earlier in the day, the Parliamentary Regions and Governorates Committee confirmed the inability of the Finance Committee to reduce the real deficit in the budget, indicating that the committee relies on two things to pay the deficit.
The head of the Parliamentary Transportation and Communications Committee, Zahra Al-Bajari, had confirmed that no financial allocations had been added to establish new projects in the Basra Governorate within the general budget law, adding that many demands had been submitted to the Parliamentary Finance Committee in order to be fair to the province in the budget before its approval. Ended / 25r
