    Baghdad today - Baghdad
Today, Tuesday evening (August 29, 2023), the Iraqi government revealed that 15 hospital projects will soon be announced in fifteen governorates, including Baghdad.
"The government is moving towards announcing 15 new hospitals with a capacity of 100 beds in 15 governorates," said government spokesman Basem Al-Awadi, in a televised statement followed by "Baghdad Today."
He added that these hospitals will be distributed "in the Al-Bayaa area next to Al-Karkh in Baghdad, in Al-Muqdadiyah in Diyala Governorate, in Al-Haydariyah in Al-Najaf Governorate, in the Sadat Al-Hindiya district in Karbala, in Al-Majar Al-Kabeer district in Maysan Governorate, in Al-Budair district in Al-Diwaniyah governorate, in Baiji district in Salah Al-Din governorate, and in Tel Kaif District in Nineveh Governorate, Zubaidiyah District in Wasit Governorate, and Dibis District in Kirkuk Governorate.
Al-Awadi stressed that "the contracts for the construction of these hospitals will be presented in the near future."
And he indicated that "the establishment of hospitals with medium clinical capacities aims to break the momentum on large hospitals in city centers and to facilitate things for citizens."
He pointed out that "Iraqi governorates, including Diwaniyah, will announce by the end of this year the completion of their infrastructure projects by 100% and with various services," noting that "all contracts for large strategic and service projects in the governorates are exclusively in the hands of the Prime Minister, given that infrastructure, the health sector and schools are among the service priorities of the government." .
