    The head of the Federal Integrity Commission, Judge Haider Hanoun, called for all Iraqi people to stand up against the attempt to “empty the laws of regulatory agencies of their content.” While he stressed the importance of raising awareness of the culture of everyone’s submission to justice and accountability, regardless of their positions, he pointed out The role of jurists in spreading legal culture and respecting regulations and legislation.
    During his visit to the Union of Jurists and the meeting with the President of the Union, the Executive Office, and the heads of the Union’s branches in the governorates, Judge Haider Hanoun stressed the need for some laws to be amended to adapt them to the current circumstances and challenges facing state institutions. He warned against trying to exploit proposals to amend the laws of regulatory bodies, empty them of their content, and turn them into a tool. obedient to evading accountability and submission to the law, calling on all groups of the Iraqi people - especially jurists - to stand by the regulatory agencies and strengthen their work in light of the attacks of corrupt people to undermine them; As a result of its procedures that disturbed them.
    The head of the Commission noted the role of jurists in spreading the legal culture among society, and raising awareness of integrity procedures that seek to subject everyone to the principle of accountability and respect for the law, attributing their efforts primarily to supporting integrity and the success of anti-corruption efforts and preventing its spread, urging the generalization of the culture of reporting corruption and enhancing confidence in the procedures of regulatory bodies. Especially related to following up on complaints and reports received about cases of administrative and financial corruption.
    He warned everyone who dares to practice job blackmail, threaten employees with transfer, not grant them their entitlements, or direct arbitrary penalties if they refrain from passing corruption projects in their departments, pointing out that this places everyone with a great responsibility in confronting these practices, while they must Allocating an important part of the work of the Federal Integrity Commission to provide protection from such blackmail and threats, and to ensure transparency in managing the work of institutions.
    For his part, the head of the Iraqi Union of Jurists (Muhammad Noman Al-Daoudi) praised the commission’s achievements and its efforts in combating corruption, exposing its roots, and returning the proceeds of corruption to the state treasury, stressing that the union stands in one line with the commission, after which it is one of the main wings of justice in the country, denouncing attempts to Corrupt people to disrupt its work, which they described as being on the rise and increasing.
    Meanwhile, the educational symposium held by the Department of Relations with Non-Governmental Organizations at the Integrity Commission in cooperation with the (Arej Al-Hayat) organization called for activating the role of the media and supporting investigative journalism. To play an effective role in exposing the sources of corruption.
    A statement from the Integrity Commission received by Al-Zawraa stated: The educational symposium, which was held at the College of Information - Iraqi University, and was attended by a number of representatives of civil society organizations and university students, shed light on the role of investigative journalism in revealing negative phenomena, their causes and treatments, including diagnosing the sources of corruption in institutions. The state, explaining the effects of this scourge and its danger to society, and creating public opinion that influences important decision-making. To reduce corruption, pointing out that media work is a free humanitarian message and represents the “fourth estate” to monitor the performance of the executive authority.
    According to the statement, the symposium highlighted the importance of cooperation between national regulatory agencies, especially the Integrity Commission, with the media and community organizations, noting that this contributes to enhancing the educational and awareness side of the Commission’s work. To develop a culture in the public and private sectors that values ​​integrity and personal integrity, respect for the ethics of public service, and the adoption of transparency and submission to accountability and questioning, through public awareness and education programmes.
