    On Tuesday, the representative of the State of Law coalition, Jassem Al-Alawi, criticized the government’s service performance due to its neglect of the southern oil-producing governorates.

    Al-Alawi said in an interview with the Maalouma Agency, “The southern governorates need a plan to solve the water crisis first, then move on to reconstruction, and then a sustainable development plan.” 
    He added, "The government's priority is to address the major shortage it is witnessing at the service level and raise its cultural and economic status in the south at all levels."
    He pointed out that "the southern governorates are still suffering greatly as a result of wars and sieges, and they need radical reconstruction, foremost among which is the provision of drinking water."
    Al-Alawi pointed out, “The southern governorates are the source of Iraq’s budget at a time when it faces injustice in terms of construction and equal opportunities.” 
    The representative of Dhi Qar Governorate, Arif Al-Hamami, described the allocations for the south in the 2023 budget as unfair and insulting. Ended / 25 h
