Today, Sunday (November 12, 2023), the Minister of Transport, Razzaq Muhaibas Al-Saadawi, directed the formation of an investigative committee into the reduction of travel ticket prices by the Director General of Iraqi Airlines for the benefit of a member of his family.[/size]
[size=45]A statement by the ministry’s media office said, “Al-Saadawi issued an urgent directive to reveal the circumstances of the request that was circulated on social media sites, and submitted by the director’s sister requesting a reduction in the fares for travel tickets on the (Baghdad - Amman - Baghdad) flight, for her and her daughter.”[/size]
[size=45]The statement added, “The Minister stressed not to be drawn into nepotism and clientelism at the expense of public money and the government institution.”[/size]
