    Shafaq News/ A survey conducted by an international consulting company revealed today, Tuesday, that Austria ranked among the countries with the best standards of living and work for expatriates for the current year 2023, while Iraq came at the bottom of the list, surpassing only Sudan in the ranking table.
    The American Bloomberg Agency said in a report seen by Shafaq News Agency, “The decision to live and work abroad is a crucial decision, as you can move to worse places than Vienna, Zurich, or Auckland, which currently occupy first places in the survey of the global consulting company Mercer.” For the year 2023 regarding the quality of living for expatriates.
    According to the report, “the Austrian capital maintained its position at the top of the list that was last published in the days before the pandemic during 2019,” while the survey’s organizers highlighted “the city’s vibrant cultural, architectural, and historical scene.”
    The Swiss city of Zurich came in second place for its “political stability and high-quality infrastructure,” while on the other side of the world, “Auckland was praised for its high standards of healthcare and cultural mobility in Denmark.”
    Auckland, New Zealand came in third place, Copenhagen came in fourth place, and Geneva, Switzerland came in fifth place.
    Baghdad, the capital of Iraq, ranked 240th, followed by Khartoum, Sudan, at 241st, in the last country with the best standards of living and work for expatriates.”
