Parliament moved towards approving a new salary scale law

One of the most prominent laws that will be highlighted in the coming periods, according to the opinions of a large number of specialists, is the salary scale law and the importance of its approval to achieve the principle of justice and equality between all parties.
The salary scale law is one of the laws that requires agreement and unanimity from all parties because it will equal salaries for all state employees without exception, and the issue of financial allocations granted to some categories and not others will also be reviewed.
A member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Ali Jabbar Mu’nis, told Al-Sabah: “The government is serious about amending the employee salary scale,” indicating that “the amendment will preserve employees’ entitlements according to years of service.” Mu’nis explained that there is “a large discrepancy in employee salaries between the Ministry of And others, and does not achieve social justice among all employees,” stressing that “amending the salary scale will be among the next steps and there is seriousness in following up and approving it.”
For his part, economic expert Bassem Jamil Antoine stressed the necessity of adopting a new salary scale law because it achieves social justice. It is reasonable to do justice to social classes rather than others. Antoine added that some employees receive large allowances and high salaries, while others receive small salaries, and this is considered a great injustice that must be reconsidered. Antoine saw that there is an urgent need to do justice to the poor classes, adjust the level of their salaries, and achieve some kind of Social justice and the minimum income should be 700 to 750 thousand dinars.
