    Baghdad/Al-Masala Al-Hadath: Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein announced Iraq’s approval to join an international coalition that will be formed to protect water sources.
    A Foreign Ministry statement received by Al-Masala stated that during the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and ways to develop and strengthen them in a way that achieves common interests, and touched on the recent Iranian aggression on Iraqi territory. The minister stressed Iraq’s approach and its movements in the Security Council and the United Nations to condemn the Iranian aggression against Iraq, pointing out Today, the League of Arab States held an emergency session at the request of Iraq against the backdrop of the Iranian aggression against the city of Erbil.
    He stressed that Iraq will continue to defend its rights through political and legal means to ensure its security and sovereignty.
    On the other hand, Minister Hussein renewed Iraq's firm position on the Palestinian issue and its necessity to stop the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and continue providing humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people.
    For her part, the Slovenian Foreign Minister called on Iraq to join an alliance that will be formed to ensure the protection of water sources. In this context, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs confirmed Iraq's agreement to join this coalition and the possibility of future cooperation in the field of water.
