Today, Tuesday (April 23, 2024), the Social Protection Authority revealed that approximately 5 billion have been collected through electronic payment devices ( pos ) from those who exceeded the social assistance.
The head of the authority, Ahmed Al-Moussawi, said in a statement received by “Baghdad Today” that “the authority collected approximately (5) billion via electronic payment devices ( pos ) from those who violated social assistance.”
The statement explained, “This refunded amount is the sum of one month,” noting that “the authority began collecting electronically at the beginning of last March.”
He continued, "The digital transformation in collecting electronic funds has contributed to shortening time and eliminating cases of financial manipulation."
