, the Integrity Commission announced, today, Wednesday, that more than two billion dinars have been collected within three months.
The authority said in a statement received by "Mawazine News", that "the supervisory role played by the Authority's Prevention Department in following up the overdue funds owed by customs clearance companies resulted in the payment of more than two billion dinars within three months."
The statement added, "As a result of the follow-up of the department's work team with the General Authority of Customs on the issue of collecting the late fees owed by customs clearance companies since 2013, it succeeded in collecting (2,230,765,000) dinars of those debts during the period from (1/12/2021 to 28/2/) 2022).
He explained, "The General Authority of Customs issued circulars to all its directorates, to ensure that the companies that owed late financial dues would stop working unless they came with an acquittal from the General Authority for Taxes and the General Company for Iraqi Exhibitions and Services," noting that "a previous report of the Prevention Department estimated the amounts of late fees." for (40,000,000,000) dinars.” Ended 29/N33
