[size=45]The Ministry of Construction announced that advanced rates of completion have been achieved in the project to establish the Hajj road linking Iraq and Saudi Arabia.[/size]
[size=45]The ministry said in a statement that "advanced stages of work have been achieved in the Hajj road construction project in Najaf Governorate, in its first and second phases," indicating that "the project is one of the important and strategic projects linking Iraq to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia."[/size]
[size=45]She stated that “the project is being implemented under the supervision of the Ministry’s Roads and Bridges Department, with the total length of the road being (100) km, with (50) km for each phase,” noting that “the completion rate of the first phase has reached (82)%, as about (30) km of the binding asphalt layer has been paved, and preparations are underway for the paving work with the polymerized surface layer.”[/size]
[size=45]She added, "Work is continuing on the second phase of the road, as the completion rate has reached more than (70)%, and (18) km of the asphalt binding layer of the road has been paved."[/size]
