    Baghdad/Al-Masala Event: Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani and Lebanese Minister of Interior and Municipalities Bassam Mawlawi stressed, today, Monday (July 22, 2024), the necessity of cooperation in recovering funds and those wanted by the Iraqi judiciary.
    Al-Sudani's media office said in a statement that the latter "received the Lebanese Minister of Interior and Municipalities, and during the meeting, security cooperation between Iraq and Lebanon was discussed in all files, especially those related to cross-border crime, and the necessity of intelligence coordination was emphasized in order to confront security challenges, in addition to cooperation related to recovering funds and those wanted by the Iraqi judiciary in security cases or in corruption files."
    He added, "The meeting reviewed Lebanon's participation in the second Baghdad International Conference on Combating Drugs, and the importance of developing joint efforts to confront this scourge, which threatens the security of all countries in the region and their societies.
