The meetings of the 30th session of the Iraqi-Jordanian Joint Committee began in Amman yesterday, Tuesday, to discuss ways to enhance joint economic cooperation.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Trade, Sattar Al-Jabri, told Al-Sabah: It is necessary to invest in the deep relations between Iraq and Jordan in various economic sectors and exchange expertise in order to raise the wheel of progress and joint growth, noting the removal of obstacles that hinder the movement and development of the economic wheel between them.
He focused on the need to support and care for the private industrial, commercial and service sectors, and provide facilities to ensure their success, calling on representatives of the Jordanian private sector to establish a real and effective partnership with the Iraqi public and private sectors, appreciating Jordan's support for Iraq's accession negotiations to the World Trade Organization.
