    Iraqi Airways announced on Wednesday its intention to enter the world of automation to preserve revenues, while it indicated restructuring to comply with the instructions of the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
    The company's general manager, Manaf Abdul-Moneim, said in a statement reported by the official news agency, and seen by "Al-Eqtisad News", that "Iraqi Airways enjoys the attention of the Prime Minister and his keenness to bring it to the highest level because it is the face of the country," indicating that "this led to the development of the airlines in several joints."
    He added, "We are on our way to automating the lines to preserve their revenues electronically," noting that "there is a trend to restructure them in a way that is consistent with the instructions of the International Air Transport Association and the instructions of IATA."
    He added, "We will contract with the International Federation of Air Transport Associations (IATA) regarding the European ban and our journey towards obtaining the TCO certificate for the third operator will begin early next month," indicating that "this is the challenge for Iraqi Airways to meet the requirements and compete with other companies, and from a commercial point of view it is a significant revenue line, a strong passenger line and a strong air cargo line, which allows Iraqi Airways to maximize its revenues."
    He continued, "We have many communities there, and they have the right to come to the country directly, without going through the transit process, which is tiring for the Iraqi traveler. So we have vowed to ourselves to move forward to achieve this file, which requires time, but we will move forward with it until we achieve the desired goal."
