Baghdad Governorate is working to find the necessary solutions to the file of violations with the aim of ending it, stressing that they (the violations) hinder the implementation of projects in the capital, while coordinating with the relevant authorities to develop mechanisms for implementing the decision to exempt them from contract instructions.
Baghdad's First Deputy Governor Ali Zidane told Al-Sabah: There are files related to projects that the governorate seeks to find the necessary solutions for, including the file of violations, which it is working to address as it leads to obstructing many projects, noting that the governorate has addressed the administrative units to provide them with accurate information about the violations within their borders, with a request and verification of documents related to their ownership, borders, type of violation and its area. He pointed out that there are violations related to government agencies or investment sites, which prompted the governorate to form joint subcommittees with the relevant departments, the General Survey Authority, the Real Estate Registration Department, in addition to the departments of agriculture, municipalities, urban planning and administrative units, to limit the violations with accurate coordinates and submit a detailed report on the subject and then address Baghdad operations to begin removing them, noting the exclusion of violations covered by decisions issued by higher authorities, including their ownership or treatment or covered by Decision (320).

In another matter, Zidane stated that the Council of Ministers had previously decided to exempt the governorate from the contracting procedures stipulated in Instructions No. 2 of 2023, which include controls and procedures related to the contracting process, indicating that including the governorate in the exemption decision greatly facilitates the process of referring projects to companies, indicating that the governorate is currently working on developing mechanisms for its implementation in coordination with the relevant authorities to be in accordance with a vision agreed upon with the relevant departments.
