[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / The Ministerial Council for Economy recommended approving the adoption of a schedule of values and rates of customs duties for mobile phones and their accessories.
A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that "Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chairman of the Ministerial Council for Economy, Fuad Hussein, chaired the thirtieth session of the Ministerial Council for Economy, which was held at the building of the Ministry of Planning / Central Statistical Organization, in the presence of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Planning, the Ministers of Finance, Agriculture, Industry, Labor and Social Affairs, the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil, and the Prime Minister's Advisors for Economic and Legal Affairs."
He added that "the members of the Ministerial Council for Economy visited the operations room for the general population census, where the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Planning presented a briefing on the research, investigation and initial registration operations carried out by researchers in all regions of Iraq. He also reviewed the procedures and preparations undertaken by the ministry, especially the Central Statistical Organization, to ensure the success and completion of the general population census scheduled to be held on November 20-21."
The statement continued: "The Council then held its session and discussed the items on its agenda and took the necessary decisions regarding them," noting that "the Council agreed to recommend to the Council of Ministers to continue working on the project to stimulate smallholder agriculture, funded by the International Fund for Agricultural Development, after it was reviewed by the Ministries of Finance, Planning, and Agriculture."
It pointed out that "the Council recommended approving the adoption of a schedule of values and rates of customs duties for mobile phones and their accessories determined by the special committee formed for this purpose. The Council also agreed to increase the total cost of the project to establish the Al-Rahab - Ain Al-Sayd - Al-Bassiya road, with a length of 124 kilometers in Al-Muthanna Governorate."
The Council agreed, according to the statement, "to increase the reserve percentage for the project to rehabilitate Expressway No. 1 (first phase). Based on what was presented by the Minister of Finance and the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq regarding Iraq's need for a strong position in the Islamic Development Bank, the Council agreed to increase Iraq's share in the bank's capital to ensure the strength of its position in voting on its decisions."
The statement said: "The Council also agreed to reduce the prices of petroleum products, including fuel oil and gas oil, supplied to the Iraqi Oil Tankers Company, and increase the amount of heavy fuel allocated to the Sinjar Cement Plant. The Council recommended supplying all cement plants with black oil, according to the decision of the joint committee between the Ministries of Industry and Oil." /End2[/rtl]
