    Minister of Trade Athir Al-Ghariri revealed the government's efforts to achieve food sustainability in Iraq.
    Al-Ghariri said, during his participation in the Arab Conference on the Grain Industry in the Jordanian capital, Amman, that “Iraq’s presence in the conference is very important to discuss various aspects related to the grain industry, including production, trade, storage, manufacturing, consumption, food security and nutrition.”
    He stressed "the importance of food security in light of the challenges facing the region through cooperation and exchange of expertise with countries, continuing hard work in agricultural production, supporting farmers, and implementing and developing agricultural policies," indicating "the government's efforts to achieve food sustainability."
     He pointed out that "Iraq's experience in transforming from a wheat importing country to an exporting country is a pioneering experience in the region and worthy of attention and also of introducing it to neighboring countries to benefit from it."
