    Ministry of Transport announced on Friday by rising imports of the port of Umm Qasr, north and south, in Basra (590 km south of Baghdad), three billion dinars in the past June compared to predecessor, attributed to the actions taken by the Ministry to improve the performance of the ports and the partial implementation of the project started "enforceable."
    The ministry said in a statement received (range Press) copy of it, "Minister of Transport Agency, Abdul-Hussein Abtan, praised the rise of Iraqi ports revenues over the past June, and praised the efforts of the staffs working in the ports to be the finest and the best for its economic support to the country ".
    She transportation, that "the northern port of Umm Qasr revenues increased from seven billion and 657 000 104 thousand and 853 dinars, during May 2016, to nine billion and 650 million dinars over the past June, an increase of nearly two billion dinars," noting that "the port of Umm Qasr revenues South, are also increased during the same period, billion dinars, to become over the past June, four billion and 199 000 329 thousand and 734 dinars. "
    He attributed the Director-General of the Iraqi Ports Authority, Riyad Al-Hamad, to "the actions taken by the ministry and the determination to work to improve the performance of the ports to withdraw the growing momentum to the process of launching truck through the partial implementation of the project in force", they returned to it, "contributed to the revenue increase."
    The General Company for Iraqi Ports, signed in (the tenth of March 2016) contract with the company (in force) of Jordan, for the organization of trucks and cargo containers that link the ports of Iraq movement, according interoperability over ten years, renewable for style, indicating that it aims to develop IT system developed to facilitate transport and trade process, by truck, and the organization of movement, and requiring all companies and the drivers and the owners of the trucks registered and work under the rules, that the first phase applies the port of Umm Qasr and then proceed to other ports, including the rest of the border crossing points.
