Abu Dhabi - straightforward: the Secretary General of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, OPEC, said the cartel would inject $ 50 billion in oil projects until 2020.
He said Mohammed Sanusi Barkinado, on the sidelines of ADIPEC conference held on Monday in Abu Dhabi, said OPEC seeks to stabilize world oil markets.
OPEC faces a tough test the extent of its members commitment to the agreement reached last month in Algeria, and the judge cut production in order to reduce the glut of oil supply after two years of market turmoil.
OPEC is scheduled to hold a meeting at the end of the month of November; in order to discuss the implementation of an agreement to reduce production mechanisms, in anticipation of the possibility of joining producers outside the Organization of the agreement.
