    The local government announced in Muthanna province, that on Thursday will witness the signing of the final contract with the US General Electric Company, regarding the establishment of plants to generate electricity, stressing that the project will end the cases of constant cutting power supply in the province, as pointed out that moving the application of commercial development law with the investment Authority during the next phase. 
    The governor of Muthanna, Faleh Abdal_husn sugar Ziadi (long - Presse) on the sidelines of a meeting of the American consul in southern Iraq, Wen Dayton, building , maintaining, "It is planned to sign the prime minister, the final contract, on Thursday, with the General Electric Company US to create electric power generation "plant, noting that" such a move will end the suffering of the people of the province because of frequent interruptions in the power supply. " 
    He Ziadi, that " the next phase will also see the move to apply the commercial development of the law with the Investment Authority , which aims to bring American investment companies to work within the province and other areas , especially as Muthanna and put her hand on the first oil well in the district of vegetables (12 km northwest of Samawah) that that will contribute to raise the pace of economic recovery of the province. " 
    Ziadi and pointed out that " the establishment of the power plant, will make the province unique capacity , without relying on neighboring provinces , which is always what you are giving the least share of the generation of Muthanna." 
    The Muthanna province currently rely on Japanese energy drinks and energy cement plant and the presence of plant with a capacity of 500 MW but completely immobilized and why a ministerial post to bring full equipment since 2012 , but without the immediate implementation to date , according to the local government.
