Also , the phenomenon of desertification represents a real problem carrying negative effects on food security in light of the low level of productivity of agricultural land, as indicate some of the official bodies that Iraq has 42 million acres of arable and Ischgl of which only 14 million acres only at a time when the country is witnessing the low level of productivity Agricultural ground.
In order to begin to reduce the impact of desertification must stop excessive irrigation of agricultural land and water management to irrigate land, which plays a major role in the removal of the vegetation cover and the dismantling of the soil and exposed to erosion, as well as that these policies may lead to increased soil salinity and decreasing fertility and out that way harvesting and fertilization.
And practices of human significant impact on the growing phenomenon of salting or by virtue of salinity is studied and calculated use of stocks of water and groundwater resources and as reflected negatively on the fertility of the land and widespread drought.
It must be the multiplicity of styles and methods to be adopted in accordance with the technical and practical basis to address this phenomenon and maintain a healthy environment and can go about planting trees for the purpose of soil , which is one of the supporting factors installation as well as the adoption of the technical department to regulate water use.
