    Arbil/ Iraq TradeLink: The Kurdish region demanded from the world countries to support its measures to be separated from Iraq as "a natural right for the Kurdish people".

    Roz Nouri Shawis, assistant to Kurdish President Masoud Barzani, member of the Kurdish referendum committee, stated that the Kurdish region called the diplomatic envoys accredited here to provide support for self-determination.

    He added that the diplomatic envoys were informed to send their representatives to observe the referendum operation, as well as their support for this move.

    Shawis pointed that the first step after the referendum is to have a dialogue with Baghdad and the neighboring countries to implement the results , so that
    "all parties shall be peaceful neighbors".


    He disclosed the intention of the Kurdish authority to form an "experts committee from all parties and political forces to determine the mechanisms and timing of the referendum".

    On the disputed areas and their participation in the referendum, he pointed that these areas "belong to Kurdistan and all parties should claim for them".

    "Each disputed area wants to participate in the referendum, like Kirkuk province, will meet their official request", he added.


    Shawis criticized the Iraqi federal government t and the previous ones for "not seriously dealing in implementing Article 140 of the constitution on the disputed areas", expressing his belief that the Iraqi governme
