Allawi reveals the agreement presidencies to postpone the local elections

BAGHDAD, Iraq - June 10: Vice President Iyad Allawi, on Saturday, announced the agreement during the meeting of the three presidencies to postpone the local elections and merge them with the parliamentary elections.
Allawi said during a news conference today that "will run a delegation of the National Coalition to Erbil and meet Brother Massoud Barzani to discuss what is meant by the referendum and what will happen after the referendum?".
"I warned a long time ago that we should not push the Kurds into secession and they should be treated as part of the Iraqi people."
He continued, "Why provocation .. We are one country and must start a dialogue to find out what is right and what is not right in this matter," he went on to say, "Brother Masoud and other Kurdish leaders, especially Brother Masoud has no separatist intentions, "If the oil deal is completed, only 10 percent of the problems will be left."
Allawi said in response to the referendum, saying: "openly is not his time now, and we cherish the Kurdistan region as part of Iraq."
"We should have a serious dialogue with the brothers in the region on the referendum, and I will go there and meet with the president of the Kurdistan region Massoud Barzani to discuss this matter," he said.
"I hope that Iraq will remain united," he said, adding that "the legislation of the oil and gas law will solve many of the problems and outstanding issues between Erbil and Baghdad."
On the election Allawi said that the three presidencies agreed during the last meeting with the heads of political blocs to postpone the local elections and merge them with the parliamentary elections. Finished
