    MP for the coalition of state law Jassim al-Bayati, on Saturday, three proposals to postpone the upcoming local elections, pointing out that the general trend will be with the government's proposal to hold elections on schedule.
     Jaafar said in a statement to "/ information", "There are three proposals from several political parties to postpone the upcoming local elections," noting that "the Kurds propose postponement of three months while the Sunni blocs are demanding a six-month postponement, while other political parties propose postponement for one year "He said.
     He added that "the political trend is moving towards supporting the government's proposal to install the date of elections on 12/5 next, the same day devoted to the parliamentary elections," noting that "the National Alliance and other parliamentary blocs will move to fix the date without delay."
    Jaafar pointed out that "the holding of local elections on time will avoid the House of Representatives to engage in a debate on the continuity of the work of provincial councils and the work of the governor and other local councils." Ending / 25 d
