The Jordanian monarch, Abdullah II bin Al Hussein, revealed the opening of the border crossing between Jordan and Iraq will be during the current year.
The Jordanian monarch expressed his confidence that the road map for Iraq and Syria has begun to be clear, stressing that there are "positive signs" in this regard.
"Today the road is clear for Syria and Iraq and there are positive signs," King Abdullah II said, referring to the recent ceasefire agreement in south-west Syria between Jordan, the United States and Russia.
King Abdullah II expressed his optimism about the situation in Iraq and the opening of the border crossing between Jordan and Iraq during the current year.
The meeting of the Jordanian monarch, which took place in Husseiniya Palace, dealt with the recent crisis in the Al-Aqsa Mosque, efforts to reopen it fully, and the return of the situation to what it was before the outbreak of the crisis and to ensure respect for the historical and legal situation in the Holy Mosque.
