"The genocide campaign against the Rohingya minority in Myanmar's Rakhine province by the Burmese government forces is systematic and requires an international and humanitarian attitude commensurate with the level of violations and widespread crimes set forth in the report of the Commission of Inquiry mandated by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) ) And through the accounts of many refugees confirmed by the evidence provided by satellite and other illustrated evidence.

The prime minister pointed out that "Iraq has been attacked by terrorist fanaticism against all innocent citizens and against minorities. Such fanaticism destroys societies, including the same societies that are motivated by this fanaticism, and the free world can not tolerate this blind fanaticism against the vulnerable minorities and humanity."
"The United Nations Organization to take a firm stand against these violations against humanity and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to convene an emergency meeting of foreign ministers of Islamic countries to take urgent action to stop these abhorrent violations."
Abadi also called for "the formation of an international coalition to save the Rohingya minority and stop this criminal fanaticism and bloodshed and displacement in Myanmar."
In turn, the Iraqi Foreign Ministry announced its rejection of crimes committed by the government in Myanmar against the Muslim Rohingya minority.
