    Information / Baghdad ...
The number of homes cut off in Florida by Hurricane Erma has risen to more than 7 million homes and businesses in Florida and elsewhere in the southeastern United States.
"Winds have cut off power lines and cut off power from 7.3 million homes and businesses in Florida and elsewhere in the southeastern United States," Sky News quoted state officials as saying.
Authorities said the storm killed 39 people in the Caribbean and one in Florida found dead in a light truck that hit a Florida Keys tree at the weekend.
Hurricane Erma has been reduced, but remains a major threat, the National Hurricane Center said, adding that storm Erma crossed into Georgia with winds of up to 100 kilometers per hour and about 76 kilometers northeast of Tallahassee, the capital of Florida. Ending / 25 z
