    Alsumaria News / Baghdad
announced the governor of California , a state of emergency due to an outbreak of hepatitis C disease pattern (a), which resulted in the deaths of at least 18 people, in the state located west of the United States .

"The supply of government-funded vaccines is inadequate, and the declaration of a state of emergency will allow the state to increase the vaccine supply to adults to meet current needs, to help control the outbreak," Gov. Jerry Brown said. "The announcement will allow the purchase of additional vaccines directly from Manufacturers and coordinate their distribution among the most vulnerable people in the affected areas. "

California has the largest outbreak of hepatitis A in the country, three times that of 2015, and the outbreak began in the community of homeless people in San Diego, southern California, in late 2016, and spread to other counties in the state.

"California has distributed 81,000 doses of federally funded vaccines since the outbreak began, and local authorities have gained more supplies, but supply is inadequate," said Dr. Gilles Chavez, an epidemiologist at the California Department of Public Health, who told reporters that " Emergency allows us to move very quickly. "

According to the Emergency Department, a total of 576 cases were reported throughout California, including 490 in San Diego , 71 in Santa Cruz County and 8 in Los Angeles. Of these, 386 were admitted to hospital, of which 342 San Diego.
