The Ministry of Transport announced on Thursday that it is seeking to award the International Airport of Basra with the ISO International Certificate.
"The Total Quality and Institutional Development Department at the Ministry of Transport has prepared a plan for the rehabilitation of Basra International Airport for the purpose of obtaining the ISO 9001: 2015 certification as a requirement of the International Aviation Organization," said Nazem Hamad, director of quality at the ministry.
He added that P "specialized specialist of the quality department in the ministry and its configurations will be completed work within three months and by four stages to be followed by the quality system at the airport in Basra ready for international conformity to obtain the certificate required.
