Election Commission opens registration for Iraqis abroad

Baghdad / ... The Electoral Commission for elections, on Tuesday, the opening of the registration for Iraqis abroad, and identified an electronic site for it.
The head of the electoral administration, Riad Badran said in a statement received by "Iraq News" that "the Electoral Commission, began to register Iraqis abroad," noting that "the Commission has developed a new mechanism to register Iraqis abroad through the use of the Internet and access to the site of the Independent High Electoral Commission" .
He pointed out that "the Iraqi voter abroad can register his data through the electronic form and send it to the Commission where the Commission will audit the data sent from the voter and their conformity with the data of the register of voters and passport data in coordination with the Ministry of Interior."
He pointed out that "the accuracy of information and the voter's voter will be ascertained and a form will be sent to the voter via e-mail with him informing him of his acceptance as an Iraqi voter and will allow him to vote in the House of Representatives elections in 2018.
He added that "the work of this procedure will begin from 2018/1/2 to 2018/3/2 and for 90 days," calling on "all Iraqis voters to register on the official website of the Commission with the invitation of political parties authorized to educate their voters for the purpose of registration according to the mechanism that Adopted by the Commission "
